Default JDM CLUSTER

Question, Do you think the cluster of an 04 will work with an 05 cluster? It's the jdm version of it.

The speedo and tach will be switched around, and on opposite sides. Not sure about the plugs for the wiring, but the mounting points should be thesame.

not sure if I follow exactly what the question is supposed to be. are you asking if a 2005 JDM (KMh) cluster will work in a 2004 USDM (MPH) xB? If so, no, not without some real modifying to switch the speedo and dummy lights around in orientation to each other. Will a '05 USDM cluster fit in an '04 USDM car - of course it will. As far as the mounting points - the JDM cluster is a left/right mirror image of the USDM cluster. It will work - but you will have to completely modify the thing

It's an 04' jdm cluster for an xa, i don't see why it wouldn't fit or work in an 05' xa. Thats the question, will an 04 jdm cluster fit in an 05' xa...i don't see why you'd have to modify anything..why would you have to?

You shouldnt have to modify anything. I dont understand why you would want one in a US car, but that is just me.

whoops - sorry - xA - yeah, it'll all fit. as already said, the only difference is the speedo and tach are reversed in position - and of course the face is in KMH and not MPH. For some reason I was reading the post as if it were pertaining to an xB (which is an entirely different project to do).

xA = no problem. xB = major PITA.

Ok. I haven't installed the cluster you, I guess because a little of fear it won't work. So I haven't messed around with it. I have a question, perhaps some of you may be able to answer it.... the wiring should work or shoudln't? I'm starting to grow a littler nervious...so any opinions??
