With two people, working on it, you could probably do it in a day (ie: 12-14 hours). It's not the factory white, but it's pretty close. It's the same paint I used for my glovebox and pillars.

does it look uniform all the way through? i noticed on a lot of peoples interior when they painted it it didn't look great in person but in pictures it looked really nice. the dash is a hard texture to work with so i was just wondering.. maybe the others just don't spend the time on it sanding it down to get it ready.

 

My friend's cousin did that to his Civic. He had a hard time seeing through the windshield because there was so much glare... lol

 

Did you paint it with a gun or can?

 

Sweet. What type of paint did you use?
How did you apply it and number of coats of primer, paint, and sealer?
I was about to do something like that, but with a crystal blue. Have not had the time and wondered what it would look like.

 

Freaking Opr8r and scion john were sanding like madd men yesterday at the Scion Central ( http://www.precisionmuffler.com/id22.htm ) Matt and john were sanding from 10-5pm, just to get the right smothness for the primer itself! Also, they sanded again to make sure the paint was perfect. I was very impressed, all from a CAN.

Big props to the Opr8r and Scionjohn, another great mod!

 

That looks SICK! Mucho props. I'd love to do the same to my Hot Lava, but that'd definitely cause too much glare. It looks VERY clean though.

That is tight. Don't ever take it to Tahoe, you'll lose it in the snow. what's next? White walls?

Thanks! As far as the vents go, I have special trim/molding that goes around the vents. (Not on yet). I will be sanding/painting the speaker grilles though.
