JL W4, need info....
I found an old 10 inch JL sub in my friends garage. He said I could have it. I think it's a W4 because on the back its printed: 10W4. I don't much about it, can anybody enlighten me on this sub? The specs and if its better than the VSE Bazooka Sub?

wow...either its so old i have never heard of it, or its a misprinted sticker? is it the same style as the current w0 or first gen w3? it should be decent if it is not blown and put to a good amp. take some pictures and we can probably tell you what it is

"Any JL product is better than the VSE Bazooka Sub... as far as what it is its probably a 10w3 b/c a w4 doesnt exist. This is a good sub better than a lot out there for the price check jlaudio.com for specs."
W4 last existed around 1999. I had two 10inch. w4 and they sounded pretty good. They are actually the old version of the w3 and use the same specs. just like how the W0 used to be W1. hope this helps
