You can get the kits direct or through a Katzkin dealer if you want to do it yourself. Looks like Scion dealerships are charging $1000-$1500 for the Katzkin leather installed. Price of the kit alone should be closer to $600-$800. All the options (contrast piping, embroidered logos, inserts, etc.) add to the price.

To buy katzkins online, or to find an installer, go to http://www.autoleathers.com/

A single-color interior installed by an autoleathers-affiliated installer runs around $1249. More if you want inserts, etc. Autoleathers will also sell you a kit (they don't list the tC on their site, but they do have the kits - you'll have to call).

To me, it's the single best mod you can do - done right (not in ricey colors) it makes the interior look and feel like pure luxury. Plus, since it's an interior mod you get to actually enjoy it yourself while driving.

Autoleathers has pricing for Katzkin kits. They don't have the tC listed yet, but you can get some idea by pricing similar kits.

If you want a Scion logo you will probably have to buy the kit then have it embroidered locally. Katzkin doesn't do manufacturer's logos.

I am a Katzkins dealer, and a xB owner. I posted a group buy for the kits back in july. My kit should be in any day now. I plan on doing a full write up on the installation, so you guys can see just how easy it is. I am (was) a site sponsor, and once my website is fully operational (www.e-autotrim.com), I will re-up the money and be a regular sponsor. In the mean time, email me at autotrim-matt@earthlink.net, and I will give you the full run down on the special prices I have set up for my scionlife friends..

Edit my above post above, my current price list does not show the tc. I'll dig deeper to see what I can find out..

funny thing i learned when i was taken on a tour of the katzkin facility. there core business is selling leather to car dealers for a factory leather option. if you get a car and get leather as an option, you just might have katzkin leather in your car. this ranges for all cars and not just scions. there product is great and the quality control of the leather is amazing. they produce 400 complete car kits a day.

Southeast Toyota lists Katzkin as its approved leather seat supplier. It's cheaper in some cases for the dealers to use aftermarket leather for the leather options. Also, just about ALL Katzkin kits have more leather content than pure factory leather. Even the deluxe kit, in which the backs of the front seats, and part of the back seats are vinyl..it would still have more leather content than a 'factory' leather kit. As for purchasing a kit from the website, here is a cut and paste after choosing a Scion xB leather kit:

Custom leather interiors for vehicles produced in 2004 are currently available from your local new car dealership and your local authorized installation facility. Submit your contact information below, and we'll have a local retailer personally contact you for sales, design and installation support. Thank You for choosing autoleathers.com and Katzkin Leather Interiors, Inc.
