Kenwood DDX-7015 install in tC- Help Please!
I just tried to search for this, but after 30 minutes I found no answers...
I need help from someone who installed the Kenwood DDX-7015 in their tC theirself. I got the unit in & working, but it's not working with my door. The unit is too deep, so the door is catching on it. How can I fix this? Do I need to make a custom mounting bracket & even so, where would I mount it? Any help/suggestions/answers would greatly appreciated!

yeah i know what you mean ... i didnt install it , but my installer did. I was there when he did it ciz it was at his house. The normal the dorr wouldnt have closed . He said he had to drill new mounting holes in the bracket itself for the door to close. The unit sits a lil backer then the stock unit thats the only prob. The door even closes smoother now that its set back a lil. Now if you get that prob fixed your next one is gonna be closing the gaps ;)
When I installed mine, you'll have to drill new mounting holes to allow the unit to sit in deeper. Drill about 1 to 1-1/2cm back from the stock mounting holes.

Thanks peeps... I drilled new holes in the bracket & it's much better now- the door closes! :D
I think I'll have my friend who's a master custom installer/fabricator create a faceplate to close up the gaps & install my navigation system.
Thanks again for the help!
