Default Leave car running

I want to be able to start my 06 xb and flip a switch to keep it running then I take the key out. Kinda like a remote start but I have a mt. Any ideas on how to do this?

Thanks,
Chris

The newer DEI remote starters have a manual trans option, that would be my recommendation. If you want to try and do it yourself you will want to have a good amount of 12volt wiring knowledge and the use of relays and how to interact them together. That sounds like a fun project but if you want simple then I would just buy a DEI brand remote start.
Hope this helps

Yeah, i use my Viper alarm like a turbo timer. When I finish my drive I press the brake, pull up the ebrake, release the brake and then press a button I put on the switch panel. I can then pull out the key and the car remains running. I can get out and lock the car and it remains running until the programmed time runs out or until I turn it off using a button on my remote. Then, as long as I dont open a door before-hand, when I return to my car I can remote start it.

you could just wire a switch to control a pair of relays to keep ignition and acc on (for ac/heat)
