ok im not new to the site but new to posting techincal help questions an ive also used the search button as well an didnt find what i was looking for. but im skeptical about doing it myself when it comes to electrical/wiring mod's....
im trying to find or do it myself wit help... l.e,d, blinkers/strobing... lights for the inside/side markers,, if anyone can help me find a website or step by step process.. also what tools i need to do this? even a pic by pic diagram or step by step process would be greatly appreciated. an i wanted to know if its possible to also hook them up to a single switch so i can turn them on an off when i need too.

I don't know of any DIY for this but its pretty straight forward. Decide on a kit there are several out there, your gonna want a drill, good quality drill bit set(various sizes) and a uni-bit. As far as wiring goes, pliers, crimp/strip tool, connectors, electrical tape and some tie wraps. decide where you want the strobe to go drill a pilot whole go to a bigger drill bit, than open up to size needed with uni-bit. Install strobes or leds seal back of light with some clear RTV or something similar. For strobes there should be a controller box, so follow wiring diags for that, if your doing leds ground near your install point bring all your "hot" feeds back to you switch point, tie them together and go to one side of switch, then to you 12V supply from the other side of switch. I know this is real basic but hope it points you in the right direction! Good luck

thanks for the help but will this get the led to blink on an off? thats the effect i want. like christmas lights to flicker on an off. u know like those necklace's they hand out that flicker on an off fast or slow an can stay still.
You would need to get some sort of controller to make LEDs blink if you are just using straight LEDs or you can get a strobe kit that has a controller built in but they are not LEDs they are bulbs. Check out Oznium he has several controllers and LEDs you can get at a god price, plus very knowledgeable guys over there.

Thats what you coulds use if you wanted to control straight LEDs
