Default lighted headlights

borrowed someones pic fo this

Just an idea here and I did a search and found nothing on it, but i was wondering if the part above the headlights (the little eyebrow piece) is seperate from the whole assymbly seal wise. If so could it be lighted maybe with some led's? I've thought about doing it but dont wanna drill into the headlights if its gonna mess up the seal cuz I hate foggin headlights. Anyone with photoshop think they can maybe do a mock up to maybe see how it would look? Might look a bit ricey maybe not, just an idea right now. Has anyone actually done it? If so pics please.

awesome info thanks otnieltc. Thats all I was looking for. I hate when someone throws out the whole search thing because if you've ever tried using it, it always seems to bring up about 4000 matches that have nothing to do with what you're looking for. Thanks for the info though I might have to try that now.

On that website it tells you exactly what to do. Just bake the headlight. Take apart the housing. And then unscrew the black trim from the clear part of the headlight. Then pry off the eyebrow trim. I plan to do it again next weekend so I'll keep you updated

I agree with this post. But one thing that helps is to click on the Red Search button under the "Staff" button. You can use the "Contains all words" option to truly limit your search - you can also specify only certain forums.

It works better, but no forum searching is "that great" That's why Google is a fantastic company.. they are revolutionizing data archive retrieval.

You know where I could pick up some fairly bright blue Led's? Think I could get some from a local store or would I have to order online?

Radio Shack...but they are like 5.88 or something per bulb!! You have to comeup with an idea or something because your gonna need a bunch of LEDS. Check ebay out for 5mm leds or try with something like these..... http://www.tracylightning.org/new_page_5.htm

I'm probably gonna make a strip for each assymbly and run them like thatmaybe even run a set of blue and a set of white so I can drive with them on, and switch to blue when parked type deal. It'll take a little pre planning and brainstorming but I think I can come up with something that will look pretty good.

I doubt your going to be able to do this without breaking the seal of the headlight.
