Default Lighting idea - opinions?

Opinions please - I've been thinking of underbody lighting options just for fun - the only underbody kit I'd ever buy is this one but since I'm not exactly sweating benjis I wanted to find out what you think about this.

Do you think that installing a red LED tube under the car in back wired to the brake relay would look stupid? Yup, it'd just come on with the brakes. Other consideration - white LED bar underneath up front, red LED bar under the back on when the lights are on. I think it'd be kinda slick... and since they're on/off with the lights as well as the right colors there's less riceboy appeal. Also to figure out a way to intensify the red under the back with the brakes applied would be cool.

More or less a passing thought, but I'm curious to see what you guys have to say.

Check your local laws on this stuff first. In many states this type of lighting is illegal on the road.

Overall, I'd say pass. I've never been a fan of undercar lighting at all. Unless you're going to a lot of evening/night shows, I wouldn't bother.

But as for coming on/off with the brakes/lights... it's an interesting idea, but like I said, you'd have to know your laws first. It might just look too wierd though.

I like neon underbody kits. I don't think the first idea w/ the brake wiring is such a great idea though.

The second idea is pretty rad though. Go for it.

I also do not like underbody lighting, but the second idea sounds pretty cool!

another cool addition to that, would be to have amber colored tubes on the sides and wire them to the turn signals...

The ICE LED kit that you are looking at (and I have) has
a default mode with white in front, amber on sides, and red in
back. in the UK this is "street legal" as long as you can NOT
see the source of the light. So basically glow is cool there.

There is a guy selling a used kit (and many other parts)
in the Oznium forums for just over $600. I'd totally jump on
it if I didn't already have the UFO kit. Though I am looking
to pick up the rest of his odds and ends after he sells off the
UFO kit....

I think underbody lighting is a good idea. I don't really care for the idea of a red tube turning on with the brake lights
