Default Line output questions for basslink installation

A couple of questions I couldn't find answers for with the search feature...

1. Which will provide the best sound quality:
The integrated Infinity basslink high-level input converter; or
an external PAC output converter (model SNI-35) supplying RCA inputs to the basslink?

2. Are the speaker wires coming out the back of the HU already amplified by the HU itself, or is their another system amp somewhere that will force me to tap into the rear channels at the doors themselves? (Can I grab high-level signals at the HU harness?)

Thanks

I would try the Basslink one before I spend the $20 on the PAC even though it rocks... Yes those are high power line out....
