Kumitsu - the Luminics bulbs are direct replacements for your other bulbs. Like if you replaced a 60 watt bulb with a 100 watt bulb in your home lamp. Just pop out the stock bulb and put these in - they're just brighter bulbs, not HID or "different" bulbs.

Yeah, if i do get em, i'd get the 'pure white' color, or whichever...to keep it close to normal lookin light wise....

Correct. The Luminics are NOT HID. An easy hint is cost - if you got some HID bulbs, you'd also need ballasts and wiring and such, which usually goes for something like $300. There is no HID that costs $25. Even new HID bulbs would be more than that. Also the Luminics are Legal - something HID wouldn't be

It all depends. I'm a tC guy and there aren't really any projector headlights to speak of available. In any case, I don't know what they come with. As Luminics and maybe Silverstars are about the brightest aftermarket lights you can get, I'd guess yes. But there is a chance that the projector housings might help amplify or focus the light. They might not - you never know.

This is what I have been trying to figure out...how legal the luminics are. Do they have a DOT stamp on them? If not, they are not legal.

With any luck, mine will be waiting when I get home from work. It's been maybe two days now... I've had my fingers crossed for a while.

These bulbs are great! I recommend them to all of my co-workers and friends. All have been extremely happy with the cost, quality, and extremely fast shipping.

Totally... I'm doing Luminics bulbs on the tC for $25. And if someone makes good quality projectors built for HID and I can find a good HID kit to go with them and the whole thing costs maybe $500-600 (unlikely - those things get expensive!) I'll consider making the switch. Nobody cares about projectors just for the lenses - people want them because you need them to make HID perform well.

The $300 was for HID setup with bulbs and ballasts. The projectors could also come in a wide range of prices. For the xB, there should be a number of aftermarket projectors out. The only point of contention is what they are built for. Odds are they're done pretty cheaply, but it might be fine. If the projectors were built from halogen (front facing bulbs), you're all set. If they're built for HID (where the light comes out of the side not the front), you would ideally have projectors built for that.

First of all the kits that you see on ebay only come with the wiring/ballast/and bulb. Usually the problem with these kits is that they use cheap products, that will break, or caue electrical problems.

Second, in order for these kits to work properly without producing glare so that other drivers wont get blinded, you have to change the houseing. This involves a lot of work.
