If I am not mistaken, there is a company that frequents these forums. Elegonics/Quarter Wave Designs. They work wonders with wood and Plexiglas.

I have a fancy scroll saw and dremel and router table.. so you know, I might try this (prolly not because I'm also very lazy) but, what'd you use to mount it in the corners?

 

scroll saw will do wonder, I've been looking for something with a string cutter, so I can do the curve in any way.
the first pic, it has bolts and nuts on 4 corner, with spacers, an old dvd player round feet/stand(you know, the round thing at the bottom of vcr or dvd component).
then I decided to lit it up, so I fab a round spacer from 3/4" MDF and put some LED on it.

 

now thats creative. love it
