Default metal floor mats

Well I will be honest, I am a sneaker freak and I am very **** about keeping all my kicks clean as possible. So with that said I ordered the $120!!! floor mats because I did not want to dirty up the floor without thinking of how rough they were going to be on my poor little old sneakers.

See I have long legs so my right foot kind of sits on its side while I am driving thus causing friction of my sneakers against the rough carpet (Just realized the Scion floor mats look even rougher than normal mats ) so I am looking for something else and I think the metal ones I see some of you guys have may help out.

I have just clear soft cheap $10 floormats in the Taurus to prevent this but they are staying in there and I would like something new.. where do you guys find the metal mats and do you think it would help?

you have to go to home depot and buy the metal sheets. they are like $60 each. then take it to a shop and someguy will cut it out for you. since you have the stocks, they will use those as a template

Although not quite as big, these did the trick for me and might solve your problem:

check out modacar.com

They look really good when you splash some light on em:

My sponsor can make some for someone local, probably free or at minimal cost, too.

The two front mats for my beetle ran $68, the back two cost $20 more.

found this on eBay ..I know they're for the celica..maybe it'll work or maybe not..it all depends on how much different the bends/angle are on the celica and the scion's floormats

Hey ScionicMan,
How'd you get those metal pieces affixedto your floormats?
Also, I checked the site, and it says it comes in only yellow or grey. Which do you have? and that yellow sure looks oragne to me.. (ive chked on 2 monitors)
Lemme know as this looks like the most stylish solution without getting too "VTEC" with the diamond plate...
