Default Modded Xbox in my tC! Check out the progress!

Hey guys,
Acex008 here. I've been slowly piecing this set up together and am now into the install stage. I've posted some pics, and it should be fairly complete by the weekend, which I will post more pics of... But here it is so far...

FEEDBACK!!!
P.S. All the wires will be hidden of course, and the wires you see dangling are where the xbox goes, which I am still doing some soldering in. Patience is a virtue!

Does the screen fit perfectly in the head unit spot? It seems like it didn't and you put something around it to fill the gap.

Either way it looks sweet man. I want to do something similar, but I want to setup a carputer so I can have Dvd, navigation, and whatever else in there. I mainly want it for the navigation though.

Yeah, well my modified xbox plays, dvd's, avi's mp3's wma's, wmv's, u can look at jpeg's gif's... im sure im missing some things, oh and if i went with just a carputer, i wouldnt be able to play xbox games without having to ADD an xbox.. the xbox is essentially a computer... so it was an easy desicion. Oh, thats right and with emulatrs i have i can play old school games too, like n64 ames, nintendo (the 16 bit!) sega... and some others... its fun!

Anyhow, thanks for the compliments. And yes, I had to make a fiberglass-bondo housing for the screen. It's tough to see in those pics.. I'll post more from the car show I'm going to this weekend.

ull see... and the screen is a decent size. and for only $60 ill live with it... it produces nice quality picture too. good res. and it's the 4:3 format. so it works well with xbox games.

i gave up. in order to listen to my mp3's off the xbox, i had waaay too many steps to do so. PLus everytime i shut off my car, and then got back in, the music wouldnt start where it left off. Which i didnt realize i liked so much until i was without it. Needless to say, this project has gone from the xbox system, to being a high sound quality system. sorry to disappoint anyone, if you have any questions about how i did it, or anything about the xbox system itself, my AOL AIM name is juscallmefresh
latah!!

i'm having problems loading the pics, but i do sometimes load the 2nd pic, which IMO looks tacky. Work on hiding the wires.
