more powerful alternator.
i was at a local alternator rebuilding place and i was talking to the guy about him rebuilding my alt so it would put out more power and he replied this...
he said that he could if he wanted me to but it would be a complete waste of money on my part. he said that the alt in my car was completely computer controlled and that even if i were to get it upgraded it would still only put out as much as the stock alt because that all that the computer would call for.
now iv been reading and have been told that i should get an upgraded alt because off all the stuff i have running of the batteries in my car. but this guy does it professionally and well i would hope he knows what he is talking about.
any input on this anyone?

i don't think it is computer controlled.
when you swap a 20% overdrive alternator pulley for the tc, the alternator will put out higher voltage which you can read on a scanguage or voltmeter easily, so i wouldn't think that the tc's alternator isn't computer controlled, but the xa/xb's is.
