ok, so i just purchased a HID kit, H4 with the halogen high beam. i got it from operatic (spl?) hee on SL. my problem is i can only get the halogen high beams to work. the low beam HID wont come on. its just a simple plug in here and there, so it should be working. i am completely stumped as to what the problem could be. any help would be appreciated. thanks in advance.

you can get it both ways. the high beam is only a halogen bulb. im gonna give em a call tomorrow. its gotta be something stupid that i misssing

 

believe it or not, try switching the wires backwards, my kit came with the pre-attached pig-tails for my TC and they were put in backwards when they made the harness.

 

funny that you mention that. on my kit, i found it odd that i was getting power out of the black wire and not the red. black usually being a ground and all.

 

Heh, apparently the people making the harnesses are colorblind! lol

 

yep, called them and they said to plug the harness in backwards in the ballast. they work now

 

Does your kit have projector lenses? Are you happy with the illumination?
