More Sound!!!!
Ey Yo,
I got a question. Those tiny 4in speakers in the back just arent giving me the sound I want. I know that the dealer can provide a Bazooka Tube, but from what i hear, its not the best quality. I cant find out the specifications of the Tube that the dealer offers. Is it 8 or 10 inch? And what is the wattage? Is it worth payin 250 dollars for a 10 inch Bazooka Tube subwoofer? I saw on Audioforms that really cool set up in the back, does anybody have that, and how much is it, and can you still fit the spare tire in there?

The Bazooka tube is an 8" sub that is not going to hit that hard. The besy thing about a tube is you can take it in and out if needed.
I have heard a lot of good stuff about AudioFromz stuff. I'm thinking about getting some myself.
Hey Joe I live near Charlottesville! Don't mind the mods or some of the people that have been here a while, they aren't always the nicest people. If I were you I would get a 10" or a 12" in a small box and go from there. I wouldn't recommend the Bazooka tubes at all. I think if you shop around you can get something that fits your budget that would be much better than a Bazooka tube.

I'm running 2 Rockford 12's in mine. That was before I knew about the audiforms setup. I like that a lot. You can get a nice 10" sub with a decent amp for around $400 and it will sound a lot better. Then you can upgrade your mids and highs later on if you want. Then maybe another headunit down the road. I wouldn't go with the Bazooka IMO. You can click my sig for pics of my setup. (page 3). But most people wouldn't go with a setup like that cause I lost all my trunk space cause of the size of the box.

thats my question...what changes in the sound imaging?
Its like a preset graphic equalizer. It just changes the way it sounds. You hold down the SSP button for 2 seconds and then use the volume buttons to move it where you want it.

Underseat subs work nicely as well. I have a JL under my passenger seat w/ only 150W going to it. It certainly sounds nice but it won't shake your fillings loose. Others have gone w/ more power or larger subs under the front seats. There are even boxes available online specifically to fit under the scion xb front seats.
ey guys,
thanks for all the responses and INfo. Here's the deal I took your advice and have been lookin into some 12's to put in the back. The guy at the shop said that the Amp needs a stereo deck with a RCA connector. He said that i will prolly have to buy a new deck for the amp to work because factory stereo's dont have em. I talked to a guy at the dealer and he told me that I could get a FM modulator to hook up to the radio. He said the FM modulater hooks up to the radio and provides RCA connections for the Amp. Did all you guys that have AMps and Subs buy new decks for the xB for the RCA connection? I dont really want to get a new deck, Does anybody have a FM Modulator with Amps and Subs? What do yall think?

I would recommend against any of this FM modulator business, no first hand experience, just reading and it sounds like your sound quality would suffer. There are plenty of amps that will take speaker level inputs (rather than rca out/line level). Using these you could just hijack the signal from the cable going to your rear speaker as input to the amp, then set up the amps crossover to send any non-bass signal back out to the rear speakers.
