MP3 Jukebox into Satellite Controls?
Its not a "crappy FM modulator", a modulator converts a digital signal (RCA) into a analog signal (antenna plug). A "crappy FM modulator" will give you feedback and interference. The maintains the digital signal and does not convert it. If you have read below, I stated "You have to hit the CD button twice to use the CD changer." This should answer your question "Would these same products work on the 6 CD in dash changer on the tC?", since the decks are the same except for the color change feature.
Maybe I took what you were saying the wrong way. If so I appologize for the explanation. The guys at log-jam are GREAT, their products ar AWESOME, shipping is FAST and technical support actually KNOWS what they are talking about! I dont want people to think otherwise. So once again if you were just asking if it would work in the through the CD changer, and you thought your only option was an fm modulator, then yes it work through the changer controls.
Also with your IPOD since its not a chasis ground, you wont have to ground the RCA cables.

I'm curious if the Log-Jam product occupies the same connector on the back of the HU that the Satellite equipment connects into. I've never seen the back of the HU. If it does fit in the same connector does it allow the SAT equipment to piggy-back on it?

Works fine, just as advertised. I didn't really see where to mount it, so I just tossed it up behind (actually in front of) the radio somewhere. Haven't driven around yet, so I hope it doesn't rattle around too much.
What I did was, I took an ordinary 3.5mm stereo-phono-plug-to-dual-RCA-plugs adapter cable (radio shack standard) and ran it from the pietoy03aux device, down into the single-DIN bay below the heater controls (the one with the door that pops open.) I had to drill some holes to get the cable into there, but now...
... now I can just plug my RCA Lyra RD2840 mp3 jukebox into the cable and shove it into that single-DIN drawer. I can even close the door. Works great. Actually with the Lyra, there are a couple of options for "mounting" (ha ha) -- stick it in the drawer, with the door open OR closed, OR you can kind of prop up the Lyra on TOP of the drawer as its open, seems stable and looks nice -- that way you can keep on eye on the display.
And as someone already noted, to use it, you just hit the DISC button on the stereo multiple times to toggle between the internal drive and the "changer"...
Too bad, though, like I say, that the "changer" has all these nice controls and displays on the stereo, that DON'T DO ANYTHING. If only someone would make a reasonably priced (i.e. not an iPod) MP3 jukebox that would interface with these controls, I would buy it in a heartbeat. -- Anybody know of one?
Cheers,
Ralph

It fits in the same connector for the CD changer in the back of the HU and allows for piggy backing.

1. See my picture at http://ralph.edington.com/radio.jpg . The http://www.logjamelectronics.com/pietoy03aux.html
plugs into the port indicated by the arrow. I don't know if that's the satellite port since I don't have satellite. I do know it's the changer port. And yes, it definitely has a piggyback as well.
2. Sound quality seems identical to an MP3 CD that I burn and play in the normal CD player, which is great! I actually A/B tested the same song and it sounded identical. Of course, sound quality will depend on whatever MP3 jukebox you're plugging into your new AUX input.

If you look at the picture I posted (http://ralph.edington.com/radio.jpg) you'll see the hookups on the back of the factory radio. Rightmost two are already taken with power and speakers and whatnot. Second from left is the changer port where the PIETOY03 aux converter goes. I assume the leftmost one is the SAT hookup port?...
