Here is a pic of the new capacitor I bought. Problem is I can't figure out how exactly to hook it up. Supposedly you can use it as a distribution block and cap. So, do I run right off of the battery to the cap and then to the positive of my amps and the cap connections. I am confused.
Someone who is knowledgeable about these things please help.

i belive your going to run it inline with the power wire of your system kinda like battery----[CAP]----amp. I also belive you have to 1st charge the cap depending on the farad size. the way i did mine was hooked up a power wire from the cap to the + of the batt of the car and let it sit for 10 min. im running a 1 farad cap. i see that yours is 7 so you will need to have it on their for a bit- if you dont you will def kill your car battry when you system hits.. oh one more thing make sure you have a good ground when you install it and when your charging it. also were did you get that??? dang 7 farads is ALOT IMO. good luck PM me if you have any questions and ill walk you threw it.

I know... 7 farads is a lot. I wouldn't have gone with that big of a cap because I really don't need it, but for the price it seemed like a deal. I paid 189.00 for the setup. I needed a good distribution block which was $39.95 and up and also wanted some kind of cap (at least $70.00), plus this has a built in voltimeter (which is just cool, yet now I have two digital Cadence voltimeters I don't need). Plus, everything lights up blue, which matches the rest of my lights/cathodes/etc...
There wasn't ____ for instructions with this thing, just generic cap instructions. I'm guessing, like indianenvasion said, I just hook it up in inline, then bring the positive 8g to the amps + and the three 10 guage lines go to the cap inputs (only using two). I've got to go back to the shop to get my indash kit, so I'll ask them to make sure.
Thanks. I'll post pics once this is all together.

Positive side of the cap goes to the battery, the negative side goes to ground. The distribution block runs your amp. If you go battery--CAP--Amp it will not power up the amp. The cap blocks dc, passes AC... Which is why it removes the transients on the line.
To me, it looks like the three on the bottom are just connected directly to the power wire. (i.e. There is no capacitor benifit to these) The two on the right that are fused are electrically behind the capacitor and will source the cap for power before sourcing the car's alternator or battery. The top connection marked plus is where your 8g wire goes to, and the two marked minus are for the chassis grounds. Just my $0.02
