Default My stereo system makeover is COMPLETE! TONS of pics (no 56K)

First I want to thank those of the Desert and Salt forum that made this system a reality...Thank you Randy for allowing me to participate in the building of this system...I probably got in the way more than I helped but I learned a great deal working along side you...Randy is an awesome teacher, he never got mad at me even during a few of my mess ups...We got DIRTY, we got COLD, but in the end the result was worth it...

JBL Amp
2 10" JBL Subs
All JBL Component Speakers
Custom Amp Rack (By Randode)
Custom Amp Rack Plate (By RMS-Robert)
Custom Amp Top Cover (By RMS-Robert)
Custom RS2.0 Solar Yellow Paint (By N2HTWLZ/Garage Shop Customs-Chris)
Lots of Cathodes and LED's (By Randode)

Randode (Randy) Built BADA$$ sub box, amp rack, and as always added his
SPECIAL touches...This man does SICK work and I owe a lot to this guy! THX

N2htwlz (Chris) as always, doing Kick A$$ Custom Painting. Painted the sub
box and amp pieces...

RMS (Bob) Damn this boys GOOD...Made and engraved custom piece that amp
sits on and the actual cover that covers the amps internals...

Ok this box started off really hairy...After a good close shave we achieved the final result...I will take you through the journey of this systems build process...It took a LONG time and everyone worked tirelessly to complete this project...I must say the finished product looks incredible...Hard to show with pictures the details on this thing...Those of you in the D&S forum will see it SOON...So without further ado, here are the pics!!!

Let me know your feedback, good or bad but I doubt there will be haters cause this thing is SICK...

De-furred:

Randy giving her a CLOSE shave:

Now the bondo work begins...Pain in the ****!

Bondo, sanded, and a little added treat...RMS Skull Bottle Opener raised off box:

Primer applied by the master:

Before wet sanding:

After wet sand and prior to paint:

First coat of base paint being applied (WHITE):

Several coats of white base paint:

Amp pieces sprayed with white base coat:

First coat of RS2.0 Solar Yellow being applied to sub box:

After several coats of RS2.0 Solar Yellow ( i think there are 4 coats of it ):

Autographed by Randy and Chris prior to clear coating...They were scared...

Signed and painted, ready for the many coats of clear:

It's DONE! Many, many, many coats of clear:

Amp pieces painted, cleared and ready:

Install day is here...Hell yeah!!!!

Sub box in and custom amp rack installed:

Now for the custom etched yellow amp rack plate by RMS (Robert)
(Etched with Phoenix Precision, Randode, and Garage Shop Customs)

Randode attaching the amp to the amp rack plate:

Installed and ready to run wires (Randy is the master of hiding wires and making them look purty....

Randy giving it his seal of approval:

DONE (except for the top smoke piece on the amp)...2 red cathodes in amp, 2 under amp rack, and 3 LED's in the skull...

All lit up:

Just the skull lit up...isn't that just SICK?

Just installed the yellow amp cover etched by RMS...Outline of xB with YELOSUB etched inside...The "O" of YELOSUB is the Steelers logo...Sick, just plain SICK:

Shot of the underneath detailing Randode's CLEAN wiring:

Wow. Fantastic!

Great job everyone.

Randode, RMS, N2HTWLZ... More of your handiwork to raise the bar for everyone else.

Just when I thought I was getting something ready to make an impression..... LOL

Back to the drawing board!

WAY Nice Tim.

That steelers logo is SICK!!! (Steelers fan in me spewing out)

Can you get small LEDs underneath it to light up in the colors? Wishful thinking.. hahahahahaha

Default My stereo makeover complete

Beautiful work. Love the color matching parts. Makes it look like its a factory piece. Wish mine had that. But I don't have the talent or patience.
