"Need Help on installing a Tach."
Hi, I'm a new owner of a Scion XB and everything is just great except for the the factory tach is so small. I'm plan on installing a stand-alone tach, but not quite sure on how to get the signal for the rpms, could anyone give some advice on this, thanks

I am a car audio/alarm installer, and I installed a remote start on my XB, which needs to learn the tach signal. The tach wire I used is Black and located at the data link connector ( OB2 Plug) below the fuse box- pin #9. I believe there are 2 black wires in there, just try both to see which one works, luckily I got the right one on the first try or just use a digital multimeter to test. Hope this helps.
