Default NEED HELP - Running Wire through Firewall (for tC)

I need to run a 8 gauge power wire from my battery through the firewall for my amp. I did a search and found the rubber gasket in the driver's side above the pedals that was mentioned in other posts, however I could not find the other side of it under the hood.

Do you have to remove any parts to get to the hole while under the hood (i.e. air filter box or strutbar) . The rubber gasket seems very tight.....how do you get a wire though it? Any tips/tecquniques would be greatly appreciated.

Keep looking its there Use a flashlight. My friend and I did the same. He pushed and I pulled. We also taped a wire hanger REAL good to it so I had a little something else to pull on. If that fails you may have to make a small little cut in the rubber to push it through. Sometimes it can be a major pain. Just have a friend help.
