Default Need Ideas/Help for audio set up

I want to do a nice audio set up on my tC, but don't know much about it. I'm looking for aftermarket speakers/amp/sub to put into it. I just wanted some ideas on what parts I should get. Don't want to be cheap as possible, but of course I'm not planning to spend my whole bank account on it. What would be the best bang for the buck system that I could set up. Thanks.

Also, for the headunit, I was thinking of getting the Eclipse AVN5435. I've seen some nice picture of ppl putting this in the tC. But of course, it is kinda overpriced. I was wondering if there is a sub for this, which would have DVD player and a navi. If there is can you please tell me so I can take it into consideration. Thanks.

search is your friend.

or you could wait for the eclipse 95 which is coming in about a month. has hard drive and internal nav (no cd needed).

i've decided on a different route after much discussion. going with a cheaper (older) pioneer (no dvd, needs nav disc) but adding a modified xbox with 10 times the eclipse drive space, plus dvd, plus ipod in the same spot as the 06, plus wireless controls for the xbox....all for about $400 less than the new eclipse price installed. hehe

bye the way al and eds auto sound will install the 35 for around $1700.

I was actually wondering about this myself. I am interested in a nice mid-range HU, about $250, and a set of speakers + whatever else is necessary to get it all to sound/fit/install properly. Any suggestions? I would want a system with 4 speakers, HU, maybe amp, for about $800 tops.

Don't mean to hi-jack, but it's pretty much the same question

About the subs/amp, how much are you looking to spend for them. How many subs do you want? Do you want to be loud, or have good sound quality or a little bit of both? I know you want the best bang for buck what how many bucks? Giving me these answers will help me out in answering your question.

For a H/U, I would consider the Pioneer AVIC-D1. It has everything you want and can be found for around a grand.

Are you looking for speakers or components? Speakers are not as good as components but they can be better than stock. This all depends on how much you want to spend. For components though, you would need to get another amp to power them for them actually be worth it.

well I was thinking 2 10 or 12 inch subs. Not sure what the diff between speaker and components are so can you clarify this for me. I probably would like to spend under 1k for everything except HU.

here goes...

Components for doors- CDT CL-61A- $150
Components for midpanels- CDT CL-6- $80
Amp for components- Orion 4004- $200

Subs- (2) Elemental Designs 13Kv.2- $250
Amp for Subs - Elemental Designs Nine.1- $350
**the subs/amp can be purchased together for a discount which would come out to $510

This should all come out to 1 grand, maybe a little more.

Then you would need some installation accessories and a subwoofer box which would be ~200. Much cheaper if you build the box yourself though.

If you want to know more I suggest checking out the caraudio.com forums. You can learn alot there.
