Default need quick response... 3d brake light removal

hi... im in the process of removing the third brake light so i can mod it... i tooked out the two screws and tried pulling but it wont come off. Im afraid to pull harder but i think thats just what i need to do. any help?

just pull hard. down and slightly towards you.

dude, in addition to pulling, you have to stick your finger into the hole thats on the tailgate (where you can see the wiper fluid thing) and you have to push one of the TWO sides of the clips that are holding them in. when in the whole, they're expanded, so if they dont simply come off by you pulling on them, you have to stick your finger in and play with the plastic pieces (in the pic above) that expand once its in the hole!

I never had to do that. I just have ***** and pulled it out lol.

Funny, just last weekend, I removed that light and replaced it with a nice thin 40 LED light bar. It looks sweet!

I pulled the old light straight out after removing screws. I guess I too have Grande Cahones.... :-)

Pulling at it may take it out but it's not the right way to do it, i think. if you notice that it expands on the inside, you can see that you can damage the clip.

if you pulled on it and it's okay, then okay, sure, you have big *****. l0l... i dont think it's about having ***** to pull it out - it's just getting it out regardless of what works for you ;]

I yanked mine out with no prob. but I actually broke a clip putting it back in. so I need to take it off and do something nice to cover the holes.
