Default Need xa stereo help!

I have a 05 xa still with a stock radio. I want a touch screen dvd/cd/gps system that will fit nicely in my dash with none to as little cutting as possable, id like to install it myself. I dont rly have any ideas and im not picky about prices Aslong as its not too crazy. I have purple underglow and all my accessories are purple so preferably nothing that wont flow. If anyone has any ideas on some modles that will fit well that would be awsome!

all double din units will fit the same, then you just get a dash kit and your all set.

the screen will have some variation, but as long as its a double din unit, the entire unit will be the correct size, the screen would just be a bigger or smaller area on the front of it.

a lot of people like the pioneer avh-p4300dvd, but they also did just release the pioneer avic-z130bt, which is about the same, but adds built in bluetooth and navigation. personally i got a Power Acoustik PTID-7350NRBT cause im a cheap ___. I got it off of ebay for like $200. it does everything its supposed to, but its not very flashy and the controls for sd card/usb/ipod arent that great. but i mostly wanted a cheap dvd player.

I looked at both of them and went with the same one you have (was nearly 200 bucks cheaper) I figure aslong as it plays dvds and the radio ill be cool with it. I bought the double din kit from bestbuy. For like 15 bucks...are there any adaptors I need to buy or will I be plug and play.

i would recommend getting a harness adapter. you will just wire it up to the new radio, and then when you install it, you will plug the new harness right into the stock wiring.

just about any place that sells car stereo parts, just like the dash kit. find something like this one
Amazon Amazon
and you should be good to go. i think i just went with a generic toyota one, since i couldnt find any scion specific, but they should be the same. with that, youll be able to wire the new harness to the new radio, the plug the radio right into the old harness.

OK i got everything installed and cut in, im just now having the issue of bad radio reception. other than that everything is good! idk if radio boosters or a new antena would help. BUT my stock radio picked up reception just fine. iv been trying to read up and some places say that the stock radio comes with built in power lines to attach to the antena ( or something like that) has anyone had this issue and know how to solve it...do i need to run a power line to the antena line ( thought it was just a plug and play black line)?? thx!
