Default neons

My family got me the 7 color LED underbody kit for christmas. Didn't want to hurt their feelings, so I installed them. All four lights connected to one connector box that in turn had one cable that ran to the main controller. I mounted the connector box on the wheel well lip beside the battery and if you look behind the battery you will see where the main wiring harness goes through the firewall. You can push this rubber boot into the interior. It won't go far, but you will be able to run the control cable through on the bottom. Once the cable is run to where you want it, Simply push the boot back into place from the interior side. It can be done by one person, but a second set of hands is usefull. I brought all my cables up on the drivers side and secured with electrical wire ties The excess cable was coiled up and slid into the void above the wheel well. Hope this helps.

thanks for the help i went through the fire wall on the drivers side now i just have to gind the right place to mount them so they are not hitting the ground i am trying to avoid drilling so im gunna get some heavy tie straps and zip them on. im also hoping that the plastic bumper cover suports in the bottom dont block the light too much.

I would recommend drilling and zipties. If the lights are good enough on the kit, you shouldn't have to worry about blocked light. LED kits tend to be brighter than neon.

I ran mine through the rubber grommet on the firewall where the steering shaft is ( I think it's the steering shaft I havent messed with it in a while). Just poke a small hole in it and run the wires through it. 5 months and I still haven't had any problems with it.

Also my box in mounted down inside the inner fenderwell, so I only have I wire (many small wires on 1 strand) running into my car.

Or you can route them through the drain plugs in the floor board and up under the carpet and dash. Each side goes through the front plug. The pass. side and front bulb together. The rear bulb and drivers side together. This allows you to have the main controler inside the car. Hope this helps.

Yeah, those connector plugs were on the large size and I didn't see a good way of getting them through the firewall. An easy way anyhow.

I just noticed the drain plugs the other day doing my interior neons.

I'm thinking about getting an underbody kit also (or I might as well order more cold cathodes from ozonium and seal them). I think the best way would be to run them through the carpet and just stash the box in the center compartment or something, it can easily reach the switches on the front console.
