New projectors finally here!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey people,
I was looking to buy these on Scion Sport before I saw this thread... looks like people are having some problems with these?
Scion Sport says they come with bulbs, but should I buy better ones if I want them bright?
Also, what types of wiring issues are there? I'm more so better at wiring than physically modifing stuff, so I'm hoping it won't be too big a problem. If it's just splicing and soldering i should be good...
Thanks people!

I have had mine installed for about 2 weeks now. I love 'em. I'm not so sure that they are dimmer as they are just a different kind of light.
As for the wiring, its simple splicing. You just have to wire the halos and leds to whatever light (like parking lights) that you want them to come on with.

If its "just splicing" Im fuqed. I have no idea what to do with a wire, other then plug it into somthing. In this case I think as soon as I get them they will be for sale....

splicing - easier than it seems
Take the wires (positive and negative on one end, positive and negative on the other) and cut about an inch of the plastic coating off each. Use an exact knife, cut a link about an inch down, and peel it off.
You can twist the positive to the positive, negative to the negative, and seal with tape for a ghetto job. Or if you have a soldering gun, you can solder them for a better connection.
This should work, PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong.

Does the front bumber need to come off to put the lights in?I just got a set of lights and I 'm looking at the bolts that hold in the lights on the sides, and it looks like I might need to take the front bumper cover off in order to get to the two bolts.Or is there a easier way that I'm not seeing? Please Help!

no it doesn't. you can pull it down without removing the splash shield or the bottom part of the bumper.
remove the top 2 headlight bolts, the grill pins then the grill, the top bumper bolts, disconnect the headlights from the backside, remove the one bolt on each side of the bumper at the tire. You can then pull the sides out and bumper down reveiling the bottom two headlight bolts. pull the headlights out from the front.

I have the stock bumper and I did not remove it for the lights. Remove the grille and then the two bolts and the center pin from the bumper. Then I removed the two bolts in the fender well. Part of the bumper cover is secured by the bottom of the light. I just got mad and pulled it when I could not figure out what was holding it. It popped out with no problem.
There was no problem with the bumper touching anything. My only real problem was the new lights. On the old light the part that the bumper slips into is rounded where the new one has a square edge. The edge protruded more than the original and I had to trim and file it back for the bumper to line back up correctly. Everything else went back together just fine. I spent more time doing a careful wiring job than I did removing and reinstalling the bumper and lights.
Is there a tech or walk through posted on this anywhere? I have the lights and am ready to install right now. I just dont want to *** anything up. I also want to see some pics of the splicing, so I have a visual on what I need to do.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Thanks alot for all of the reply to my questions,Scion owners are very cool indeed!I'm gonna give mine a try,I'm kinda worried that the light pattern won't be as full as the stock one though.I do have the fog lights for back-up.Any of you guys using these lights find that the light coverage is not like the stock ones?
