Default New Sub Box Under Pass Seat

I made this box for the xB. Im not using it of course becuase I do alot of fiberglass work and will be doing that to mine later. I just wanted to see if anyone would be interested in getting a box like this.

It has 6" of depth.

I made it to fit 10", 8" subs firing downward.

it has about .44 cuft of airspace

I will be making more if anyones interested.

I can offer them for $50 shipped as is, I have to check the price on the box spray. If its cheap enough Ill spray each box as well.

Trying to keep cost down so I dont have to raise it anymore.

i'd buy one but it cant stick that far past the back of the seat into the rear passenger foot area.. and if you could make one for the drivers side too. that would rock. thanx i dont need it to be glassed . just a well sealed factory looks carpet. maybe.
hey you know u wanna make me a fake spfr box

well the drivers seat has the spare crap. Also he might had his seat up so it might cover it. You just gotta have enough "breathing" room for the sub or it will sound like crap. also if you make one for drivers side where would you put the amp?

Interesting. Gluck.

Reminds me of Howard Stern's "Private Parts" movie...when the chick sits on the speaker?

well not sure on the amp . the one i'm runnin for my twelve is in the back so the amp for the tens will be in the back too. also gotta find room for my soon to be 8"s. and i know theres jack ____ in the way but it can be moved. and i dont want it too low so it sounds like ____ i just dont want it sticking out past the back of the seat is all.

Im still messing with something for the drivers side. It looks like it needs to be smaller becuase there are more clips and other things hanging around everywhere. If its possible to make one with at least .5 cuft of airspace Ill make it.

As far as there not being many screws in it. This is becuse I jsut threw it together without even glue. I didnt want to waste product on a box I wasnt sure was going to fit. I made this to the max dimension adn will probably shorten in a 1/2" and the width 1/2" to make the fit a little loser.

The seat is moved up in the pics the box will actually go further up so that it at least gets past the back of the pass seat bolts.

Im at work right now making a second better box.

As far as price goes. Im not doing this to make alot of money I just want enough to pay for materials and my time.

Shipping will be at least $20-$30 Materials per box is about $10 (carpeted $15)and then my time $20

So price range is $50 - $65 per box. Shipped

you may be a little off on your calculations. If the box height is 6", and say the box extends a little in the rear pass seat footwell(about 16") and the box is pretty much as wide as can be (about 14.5), using 5/8 mdf you would have .55 cuft., not .75.

I'm only guessing on width and length b/c you didn't mention all dimensions.

Either way, box looks great and prices look even better

I have custom 10 inch sub boxes under my front seats as well. They fire up into the seat and have more than enuff foot space for the back seat passengers. I just carry the jack in a Scion backpack along with a few other tools.

My boxes were custom fabricated by Chris(autosound) and there are at least 5 of us that I know of in Nor*Cal that run them.

i have a 10" sub under the pass seat. Still need to get rid of the bracket on driver seat as well as the metal brackets that held the jack under the driver's before I can put a box there. Oh, and I still have to wait for the re sub to make it's 2.5 week trip from lv to phx.

about 50 or so per box sounds cool. i like the look of the one on ebay but 75 is too much just like the audio forms rear cargo set up and the old spfr setup. way overpriced. 75 bucks would be too bad but i need 2 so ya know. and i've still gotta buy me some subs . lol . hey smartass you lookin to make a knockoff spfr cargo style sub box for a 12?

hmmmmm All that room taken up and they're only .75 cf. AND it's only 1/2 mdf, right? I'm building mine soon and need 1cf. I was hoping to not fill up the whole space.

most subs only take like .80 cubic feet so .75 wouldnt be too bad. theres always compromises.

[quote="the_saint Is it walking?? [/quote]

apparently, and it's walking real slow. ordered it on the 18th, told it would be shipped on the 19th. Called on the 27th to find out status, told it was shipped on 26th and should arrive on 28th or 29th.
