I just bought an 05 xb for my daughter......i was wondering if one of the new 2012 Scion xB's head units would work in the first gen xB??????? Or is there much re-wiring that would need to be done??????

Also, any other info you think i need please feel free to provide.....

 

You'll probably need a harness for this, and from what I know of guys that have done this the Headunit in the newer xB's are smaller than the one in the older models so you might need to fabricate a kit to fill the gaps for the Headunit to fit.

 

I put a T1809 into my 2004. Used the same factory plugs.

I just had to assign Car Type as and xD, not xB. Manuals available on-line.
