Default Not sure if anyone's asked this question...

I just bought an '05 xb and I was wondering if I could swap out the radio and put a radio from an '06. I'm not a big fan of the up and down volume buttons. Also could I put the iPod hook up from the '06 as well?

You can, but you'd need an additional harness which might be difficult to source.

You would need the headunit, the aux and ipod harness wiring, the ipod cable and then the harder part... it's a long vehicle harness from the back of the hu all the way to the center console.

If I could offer a suggestion, look into something aftermarket. You'll get better sound, better ipod control and a cleaner (IMO) opinion.

Yeah I thought about that too but since I don't completely own the vehicle just yet I want to go with some cheaper stuff I can get like on ebay and such. Don't want to go to crazy just yet. Thanks for the suggestion though. Appreciate it.

Better yet you can also install the upgraded xB2 hu. It has way more features and looks better to boot. Plug and play baby. You'll just need the ebay Ipod harness.

Thanks everyone. Very great advice. I might just look into the steering wheel from the TC. Thanks.
