From Gothbox-

" Kinetik is buy far a much better battery, the 1800 is the same as about two yellow tops and about the same price as just one. "

Huh? A yellowtop is ~$150, the Kinetic 1800 retails for ~$350....

Which is not to disparage either battery, at all-

Not being a serious car audio enthusiast, I hadn't heard of the Kinetic batteries previously... Do they have the same kind of deepcycle characteristics as a yellowtop?

the key word was "retail" I am shure that just like me everyone "knows" someone and can get a better deal.

And yes they work just like the yellow tops.

I have a Kinetik 2400 and it fit perfect in the stock location and helps out incredibly. When my bass hit and tvs were on before, my headlights would be almost turned completely off. Now nothing dims at all. I do plan on getting an upgraded alternator in the near future, but this did help out my situation.
