over ride switch???
been thinking about doing an over ride swtich on my back up lights
i have no idea where too tap the wires into/ off of/ from, what ever
i would like to do this so ppl don't ride my bumper and get too close too me at the stop light
has any body done any thing like this before???

Not that this will help, 'cause the 'fog brake lights' would look pretty lame on an xA (or xB or tC), but I used to run the Hella halogen brake lights on the backs of some of my 4X4's.
They were switch controlled so that only the normal brake lights came on, usually, but when I felt it was necessary these Hella's could be added - it was like having a couple of red fog lights on the back of the rig (or like opening the door to Hell if you were on my bumper...).
(I also had white floods on the back for camping and for backing out of the 'nasties,' but I did NOT use them on the road...)

I know someone who wired there reverse lights up to a switch so that he could flash them on when he wanted to ..... needless to say he found out the hard way that by applying voltage he was also triggering his automatic tranny to shift into reverse... it ended up ugly lol.
