Default Overhead Mobile Video Suggestions?

Audiovox 10.2" Portable DVD/LCD Shuttle System

Im new here and thought I would get the opinion of people a little more experienced than myself. I just picked up my Scion last night from the dealership, 1 mile on it
the inlaws have offered 1000$ to put a mobile video system in the car for our children. Now I used to work for CC and I have many friends in the roadshop there, I was offered the above unit, installed with tv tuner and 4 year full warranty for 1000 installed. I have read some reviews on the this unit and they are spotty at best, doesn anyone on these boards have one or know someone who does who can speak from experience, even if it not in a scion. I like the fact that its removable and very sturdy, good picture, but I have heard that it might have problems with some DVD's. But with the 4 year warranty im covered for any problems. I have also considered the the Panasonic 9" Overhead Widescreen with DVD/SD but am not sure because the the footprint on it is signifigantly larger.

Any ideas guys?

Alright Roadshop. The Audivox is very nice, i have installed alot of them, the realy nice thing is being able to take it out and make it portable. I have not had one of these units come back and I judge quality on looks, usability (how easy it is to use) and how many of them come back. The Panasonic unit is also very nice, but not as versatile. Just my opinion, what do I know i only do this for a living.

Pro,
How do you feel about the deal i will be getting for unit, install and warranty?.
Is 1000 a good deal?

I have seen the screen in action today at the store and I must say the picture is nicer than the Pan, plus the portability is such a huge part of it.

Since im not at work i cant see what we sell it in store for, but the net price is $699, 4 year CCA protection plan is $174= $885. So that means the install charge is $75, with around $44 dollars for taxes at an estimate of 5%. Thats a darn good deal, i charge a minimum of $175 -$225 for the install of overheads. Plus the warranty covers it for 4 years, which means if it goes bad they swap it out. Do it, your saving $100 to $150 dollars on labor and if you have a problem with it while your are traveling take it to the nearest CC for help. Cant say that when a custom shop does it. A+++ deal.

Thanks alot man, Its truly a beautiful car. Whats funny is the main reason I bought it was when i was at a CC store a friend of mine is the PC services install guy and they use the XB for an install vehicle. He took me to lunch in it and I totally fell in love with it.

Looks like Billy (ProshopxB) has got you covered in the advice department. So I guess I'll just say welcome to the boards from another Fresnan... Fresnonian... Fresnite... Whatever the heck we are.
