Pics! I think All of you should stop with the low cost mods and buy a camera! Seriously the Digital age is upon us!
I have a dual LED I picked up from PePboys, is it worth changing?

I said nothing about it fitting.

I was just replying to the people who blew up leds by contacting "the screws" in the dome light housing.

I bought one of the "high flux" 6 LED 3175 replacements off of eBay, and while not blinding, it's significantly brighter than stock and makes the whole car glow a nice blue.

Can someone provide a little more info on these? So the lights are not actually in the glass piece right? how do you mount the piece that has the LEDs on it?

Those thinks are junk! No kidding, they are DIMMER than the OEM bulb even if you check right under the light. Stay away, far, far away from these LEDs.

well i have tip on these i took off the 3m pad off then trimed the points down on each led then put the 3m gray double side over it so no metal will touch.then a shaved down each side so it will fit nice, then cut the round part to the dome light where the oem bulb go's so it would sit straight.worked good for me and the cover close's all the way.one thing be carefull not to cut the paints to short to the board i used nail clipper's worked great.i will post pix tomorrow of it in tomorrow.

I have blue and haven't had any problems with the po-po, but haven't had any reason to have it on around them anyway.

How is it for trying to read at night? I am trying to decide on green or white, but I need to read maps and paperwork at night sometimes.

If you want to be able to read stuff w/o a problem, then you need something like this:

Did you get this one?: http://www.oznium.com/flexible-5mm-led-dome

How big is it, or uh did you have a lot of space to get it in?

Yea, that's the one... it's a bit tight, but it does fit.

I had already shaved out most of the plastic on the inside of the dome light in attempt to fit a rigid one from a different vendor, so I have more space than most.

I guess if you're really worried about it, you can get the small one. It should still put out a ton of light.
