Make sureyou double check the edges where you put the blue tape. I noticed some spots were not 100% even on the line where I wanted.
No one will notice but you though

I would probably have to take it all out and do it again. I am kinda **** about stuff like this. That's why I ask a hundred questions before doing anything. So basically I'm trying to say very useful tip.
man i've washed that peice twice with heavy duty degreaser and I still can't get the green or blue 3m tape to stick to that peice wtf thats the only silver part I have left to do..... since I will be replacing the steering wheel

Has anyone tried the dash board covers? It seems like the dash on the XB picks up dust. I clean it everyday and it is dusty by the next day. anyone else with this problem? And any solutions?
you talkin to me infini? cause I was only talking about the silver parts ........ the tape wont stick to the perferated black plactic that surrounds the silver..... looks like you just taped newspaper to its self ..... did you have a problem with spray getting underneath the paper?

I am saying I had "NO" problem taping the blue tape to the perforated black parts. I taped them 1st and then added tape and paper after a layer of blue tape at the edges.
This is why I had not problems with spray getting underneath the paper

Thanks! I hope to finish everything else VERY soon. I hope others can get the courage to do theirs as well from seeing this post.
Also This was like my 3rd spray paint job EVER. So I learned from my mistakes and this time I got it right

Heh, I was talking about prev. Projects. But if I were to comment about the dash areas I would say do not apply too much Primer or you will get the runs and or waves. Then you gotta start over
So spray at lest 8in. from the surface and make sure your not staying in one spot for a long time.
Also make sure you sand not too much but enough for the primer to stick.
If your not comfortable practice painting something else not as valuable till you get a good habit going.

Funny
Well technically what will happen is the surface you are painting will start to wave or run. Literally. And it could happen when you are painting later with color. So not too thick on the primer, and make sure you sand well enough for the primer to stick.
