Next on my list is better interior lighting, because when the shop installed the DVD drop-down monitor, I lost the functionality of the dome light. I'd like to put more interior lights, maybe a small light in each door or something, and one in the hatch area. That thing is just too dark at night without any interior lights.

The source for the wood kit was "alphadash.com". I originally found it while doing a search in eBay for "Scion xB". Cost of the 34-piece kit was $169, plus shipping. It's a pretty extensive kit, with more peices at a lesser cost than most of the other places, including the dealer. They have a variety of woods to choose from, and also some real and fake carbon fiber. I didn't use the "activator" tubes that came with the kit, just in case I wanted to remove it later. Just prep the area with alcohol, peel off the backing and press into place. It's pretty easy, and don't be in a hurry, take your time. Didn't turn out too bad, gives the car more of a "luxo" look than "tuner"...

From the paperwork I rec'd with the vent shades. looks like his website is:

I think the part # is 2484496916, In Channel Vent Visor Scion xB 03-04. These are the types that fit inside the window channels, not on the outside window frame.
Price was $49.95 + shipping/handling

Beware, ericcooper got some and they don't fit worth a damn. The notch for the window channel clip is in the wrong place. The fit just isn't quite right yet, wait till they work out all the problems. Probably by the time JC whitney has them they will fit better. I told him to take them back and let them know about the fit issues.
Thanks for the heads up Jet, yeah.. probably i think its better to get them sort out first before i ask them to ship half way across the glode. Sending them back if they dun fit is going to be a bummer..
Unless someone has fitted their with other brands or suppliers and have no problems with them, otherwise i will just wait out till they fix the problem once and for all.
Thanks again.

My vent shades fit perfectly. I had to be careful installing them though, because I did have to bend them in order to get them to fit inside the channels, but that's mentioned in the instructions. Also, having to keep the windows rolled up for three days was a test, but again that's covered in the instructions. The fronts do extend all the way down, and they do block the view to the inside part of the right side view mirror just a bit. Other than that, they were well worth the $.
