Hallo guys,

i'm an owner of a 2004 Toyota Ist (the Asian version of the Scion xA) and i've been thinking about buying the Pioneer FH-X700BT since i need the bluetooth functions. I've tried to find out (google etc.) if i'm gonna need any installation kit (two plastic parts shown in one of the pics) for this double din radio but i'm still not sure. is this radio going to fit exactly, or will i need other parts also? i've attached a some pics from the internet, one with the original radio, one with a radio plus 2 additional plastic pieces on both sides, and one where the new radio fitted perfectly. can you help me out with this issue?

I am not certain on the xA, as I have an xB. But, I just bought this radio from Crutchfield this week and they include the side spacers you listed which leads me to believe they afre needed.

xBBQ could you do me a favor and give me the exact measurements of the front panel of the FH-X700BT? the stereo in my car is exactly 200mm x 100mm, but as you can see on the second pic i posted above, the corners are not right-angled, the are curved. How about the corners on the pioneer stereo?

which wiring adaptors do i need to connect the fh-x700bt? does anybody have a picture of the back of the factory stereo installed in the 2004 xa?

You might try going to crutchfield .com and asking one of their associates. When I ordered, as I said above, they included the Metra spacers as well as a harness. I do not have them yet, they will arrive this week.

Even if you order elsewhere, they may help with what you need.

I can tell you....all Toyota harnesses have been the same for many years .......
