Default Rockford Fosgate T212

Hey the hardest hitting and Rockford Fosgate T212, I have two of them in my xB. I won 1st in the SPL, in the superstock class. Destroyed the others. I have Dynamated the whole headliner with a wooden skeleton frame, all back panels, rear hatch, all the doors and today just removed the back seat ready to remove all the carpet to add the rest of the Dynamat to the bottom of the vehicle. Rockford Fosgate rules!

Default Numbers for SPL

Super Stock
0-300
Competitor Vehicle Points Place
142.20 Garcia Christian 1
141.90 Walcher Joey 2
141.30 Boone Jordan

And to think that I only have Rockford Fosgate T5002, one for each sub, pushing them. Just wait until I get either the T20001 or T40001!

The best I hit in comp was 146.7 with two very underpowered JL15w3's.

My current set up is 2 10" Re's and I was able to hit 143.6

old post, but i'll reply anyway.

my dual JBL W15GTI MKII settup in thier prototype box are hitting about 159 with 4,400watt *2x 2,200watt* of power supplied. i modeled them in my walkin closet which has about the same amount of room as the inside of an xB. i'm going to take a guess at about a 2-3db gain diffrence between that and the xB as the xB wont rattle as much as the wooden walls do and i would expect 160db easy. i'm also told by JBL that they will go higher then that even but not by much, maybe 2db?.

i do alot of work in the live audio design and developement and when it comes to the begining of this post. he had to have been measuring at the port. OR! what he could have done is created a box specificly for SPL only and had it tuned to a specific high peak point of sub used, say 55hz-70hz? if you hit a good resonence point then yes, you could hit db levels that high but doing so would cause the sub to sound like poop when playing normaly music through it and not a signal generator.

EDIT: i forgot to mention, my measurement is 159db @45hz which is the high resonence point of my box design. it's designed to go down to the lower 30s but with a -3db rolloff. 45hz is the designed peak point.

I hit 145.1 on a MECCA meter, 40hz and got 2 12" L7's in a ProBox with port.

I am currently adding another Autotek Mean Machine 1400watt amp (@ 1ohm) to the subs and am changing my front stage. I am also building a sealed box because I want more SQL now, I love the bass but I want it tight!

Will post some Pics in a few days.

HOly moly, 153?? You know you can damage your hearing at just 85 Db for an extended time right??? PLUS, it's not a straight linear line made when measuring it, it's logarithmic, so even 90 is significantly louder than 80....

The company i work for makes noise reduction technology, and i've had a few demos of different spls ... and I couldn't even imagine 153.. that must be ear bleeding territory AT LEAST right there. I wonder what the SPL of one of those sonic stun guns they use on cruise ships are.. can't be much more can it?

actualy, though 153db is pretty loud, bass wise, it takes more then that to bleed your ears. Cerwin Vega did a concert settup with 78 Folded bass horns and was hitting almost 180db up front and personal to the system. the croud was actualy only a few feet away from the stack and had no problem at all. now, 153db of say. 5,000hz... ya, instant deafening. low bass to sub sonics don't do much intill about 200+db, the hairs in your ear that pick up these larger waves are much larger and located much deeper in your ear and can withsand ALOT more then the hairs located more to the outside of your ear that pick up the higher waves.

80-90db is somewhat elivated, but also think, those are peak waves generated by music. sine wave wise, you would need about 100db to experience the same "feeling".

What the hell are you talking about ear hairs?
180 db in a vehicle would hurt you.... I don't care what anyone says. If people are having to install 2" thick plexiglass windows to keep from breaking at 173 db and theoretically sound volume doubles every 3 db then 180 db would be devistating....

your ears have microscopic hairs which pick up specific vibrations which transforms into a sound signel in which you brain reads.

180db is devistating at a specific starting point of playing range, but bass wise, it would take more then that to bleed your ears. 180db can do some serious but it's not enough to make your ears bleed. when it comes to extreme lows, 180db at 40hz is not the same devistation as 180db at 30hz. 30hz would have to be near 200-210db to do the same damage that 40hz would do at 180db. same thing with 10,000hz, it would take only 120db to do the same damage that 40hz would do at 180db.

i am not going to post up here my best scores of 158.6 on audiocontrol or 154.3 on a termlab because all that you guys will say is that it isnt true but i will just tell you i am walled off with 4 memphis mojo 12's and two of the 2500d's on them that is 5000 watts but they are strapped at one ohm so the power is doubled and i am not going to mention me converting to 18 volt charging system this weekend cant wait to go crack some skulls

My setup is 4 Alpine Type-R 12's, 2 Diamond 1200.1's (1 per pair). I hit 156.4 . I do have a wall, though!
