Come on now, I had 4 12 jlw3's in my jetta before the xB and I hit 155. That is with 4. Louder than that with one 12. Maybe if you put the mic in the port.

I committed to the purchase last night.....
Check out what my new sub/box setup is going to be! It's not this particular box and subs but it's the same setup.....

http://www.sounddomain.com/memberpage/382799/3

I have an Eclipse DA7232 amp that is going to push 1000watts to each speaker @ 13.8volts.
I'm hoping the ol' Scion will be able to handle all the abuse.....

Yeah, Eclipse = Hatch = Loud with anything reasonable.
I wish I only had to pay $250 for my set up.....
So far I've invested around $3,200 and I still need to dynamat my entire vehicle and get a 240amp alternator. O and get some really nice components.....
I've been told the set up I am going to run is going to be hard to top!
Let's hope so because i'm going tobe upset if my Best Buy co-worker beats me out......

You dont want to do this because there is a fuse inside the cig. lighter. Another option is to leave on the cig lighter plug and use speaker wire to make it hard wireable. (I think I made up that word) All you need to do is take the positive end of the speaker wire and stuff it down the end of the cig lighter (nipple) and take the negative speaker wire and put it on the side bars of the cig lighter. Then secure it all with electric tape and you can wire the other end into a 12v source. It should look like a dog terd when you get done with it. We use this method at Best Buy which is where I work when we hard wire a SAT radios.

haha....dog turd theory......that ____z funny!!!!!!!!!!!!1

i was thinking of purchasing an epic 160, let me ask you did you notice a difference when adding it to your system or did you install it when the system was installed? i've used crossovers and eq's on occasion but never anything like the epic 160. any info you could provide would help me out a bunch on my decision making. thanks.

Default Some of the above

I personally prefer Audiobahn's higher end products.

But JL audio from your list.

exactly, does anyone know what kinda comp is was iasca or usac db drag, both have way different rules on db mic placement, usac or what ever......otherwise know as usuck allows mic placements as close as 8 or 12 inches from a port, iasca puts the mic on the windshield..... yeilds much different results
