idk. Power Inteli (the brand i linked to earlier) are RV AC->DC converters that have been used by RV builders for years. my grandpa's last 2 RV's have had power inteli's installed. They work great and as you saw with that ebay auction, you can find them cheap. a 60 amp converter for $150? such a steal....

So, just to clarify, at these shows where you need to disconnect your batter, I would just hook up a wire to pos and a wire to neg cables from the AC->DC converter and then just plug the AC wire into an outlet and everything should work in my car properly?

ok rule of thumb..

just think of it as if you had disconected your batter with the car runing.. your car will stay running fromthe Alt. your Alt on the XB is i beleive about 60amps.. correct me if im wronge..

SO if you want to keep lights xbox and stereo on youll at least need a 60 amp power supply.

that one on ebay should work. that a good price for an 60 amp.

I have been to so many shows. they all say batt disconected. HIN, Import showoff , lowrider ect.. not one sow checked if my Batt was disonected yet. I seen guys with there cars running in the show.. and thats indoor show also..

Sorry Im a newb at this. Are power supplies the same as AC->DC converters such as the one in the ebay link? And Marshall, do you leave a key in the car at these shows while turned to the on position?

if i run my stereo i do becuase my deck is set to trun off whenthe key is off.. all my other stuffs like lights kits are wired to be used with out the keys on.. SO yes i leave my key inthe car at shows to run all my ICE

its the opposite.. you converting power fromteh wall to 12volt.. when you hooked up your xbox you was converting 12vt to 120v.. now that takes more energy to do becuase you have to step up the voltage froma 12 volt source.

If i skip out on using the xbox since it draws quite a bit of amperage, would the one in the ebay link be more than what i need for amperage?
