Default price for complete audio system w fiberglass enclosure?

i am really close to purchasing a system for my box. i guess the first question i want to ask is what would a good system b comprised of for an xB(# of subs and amps). also i would like to get a fiberglass enclosure. this leads to my next question, how much would an entire system cost me (subs, amps, fiberglass, component speakers, dynamat...the works) including a ballpark for install costs? there is no need to include a headunit in the pricing because i already have an idea of the cost for wat im looking to get. but if u could answer any of my questions it would b greatly appreciated

really comes down to what you can do yourself to save $$, that's what I've done with my entire car. DIY.

x2^^

I sure would hate to have paid "shop rate" for my fab and install...especially the deadening! The more you can do (a lot of it is not that hard) the further your $$ will go. That f/g box will be pricey.

G/L!

$300 for an enclosure is damn cheap, ive done a couple, and i dont do them for other people anymore. way to expensive, and its a hell of allot of work. i made a sub enclosure were just materials cost me like $450, it was a big complicated box, and i think that was without the paint.

you can do it yourself, i had never made one and just searched around and read stuff and figured it out, do some research, you might be better at it than you think

X2 If its an enclosure with paint, thats an awsome price! The amount of labor that goes into getting these boxes ready for paint is unbelivable.

This is what I do for a living. Watching and doing are two diffeent things altogether.

DIY is the way to go....also, shop around for good products.....

elemental designs makes great subs, amps, and components, as well as deadening....they are a forum sponsor on here.....

I reccomend knuconceptz for the wiring.....

alot of people on here (including myself) use thier products....you can end up with a really nice system SQ and SPL wise for ~1500.......which will beat out most systems in the price range and rival many more expensive ones....

whatever you do, make sure you DIY....it just takes time, but you can be so much prouder of the end result....and you get alot closer to your box :D

just my .02

yeah I would have to agree 300 for a finished box sounds pretty good. I"m building a box for two tens and I have upwards of 250 in just materials not including paint.
