Default Problem with DDX7015 maybe??

Ok I have had the DDX7015 for about 3 months. About 2 weeks ago the left speakers in the car just cut out! Since then they will come on every now and then and when they do its sometimes very low volume. Sometimes staticy too. Well I have checked everyone connection on the car and trust me thats not it! I did however add a subwoofer about 1 month ago. MTX 5500 Sledgehammer with a MTX Thunder5304 amp. Would there be any connection between the sub and the problem. I knows it not a blown speaker cause the front and rear left speakers will cut out at the same time. I was going to put the stock unit back on tomorrow to see that does it and if so I guess its the unit, right? Some guy told me that it could be that the unit is too much power for the stock speakers, But i dont think so at 22x4 RMS. He also said the unit could be overheating or there is a short somewhere in the units built in amp?

Anyone have any help or the same problem?
