PROBLEMS AVN6600
Hey guys thanks for any help you can offer
i have an eclipse avn 6600 and its great have no probs till now that is. Whenever i connect my ipod to the radio it plays normally till i crank up the volume. Once it plays for about 1 min very loud it'll shut off not completly first it will go extremly low and staticy till comes off completly. Now if i put the radio loudi have no prob watsoever. I purchased a new ipc-106 (the ipod adapter) and the same thing happens?? So im trying to figure out wat is the proble?
Is it the radio itself?
Easy fix?
Expensive? Lol i need help i love my music loud and im stuck with this...
Your help greatly appreciated

It sounds like the problem you are explaining is a grounding issue in the speakers... but since the radio is working without problems it may be a ground problem in the head unit for the ipod controller.
Try this, with the stereo hanging out of the dash... try playing with the connection going to the ipod controller. I'd be willing to bet there's a grounding problem in the connector.

nope not the grounding
ok i took out the radio grounded the ipod adapter to another place evrything is grounded but same problems.
i realised that when the volume goes low after being loud i disconect the power to the ipod adapter then plug it back in it will play then shut off again..i might not be explaining to well sorry im kinda fustrated lol.....ok so im thinking maybe its a power problem???? the power cable has 2 wires ground n power now the power wire has 2 tips at the end are they both supose to go to a power source ??? please help thank you

I have the AVN6600 and the IPC-106 and dont know where on the back of the deck to plug it into.I have been installing stereos for years and I know what I am doing.Everything I have read the 6600 doesnt need anything special and the ipc106 should just plug right into it.Would you happen to know where it plugs into.

The cable from the ipc-106 to the ELAN connector is on this diagram, item #5.
