Question Question about cargo area!

Hi everyone, I am a new 2005 Scion xb owner as of January. Needless to say I love the car. My favorite part is the massive amount of interior space, it is absolutely deceiving from the outside. I also like the amount of room in the cargo area with the rear seats folded down. The one thing though that is bothering me is that my car didnt come with the "luggage storage box" (as titled pg. 115 in the owners manual) cover. This is the hard yet carpeted piece with 2 folding sides and twist ***** that covers the spare tire and foam compartment on the right side. I was wondering if anyone has a part number or a place I can get one? I am looking to get one as soon as possible. have a blanket over it in the meantime but I hate not having this. Anyways thanks for reading and I am heading to the xb 1st gen lounge! -Steve

Try calling a Scion dealer parts dept for the part# or better yet call a local Junk yard find out if they have a damaged Scion xB + if they will sell you that part cheap.

Good Luck

@JIMXB: I had to contact scion at their 1 800 number. They have a policy of not giving the part numbers i guess but forwarded my info to the Toyota dealership, they are supposed to contact me within 2 day.

@05sciko: Ok let me know if you find it. If it fits and looks ok then i would definately be interested in buying. Thanks for replying.

LOL U must have called the Scion Coporate office, they not useful in this case

Just call any local Scion Dealership Parts Dept. they will immediately help u over the phone + look in the computer for the car schematic + find the part. Tell them you will purchase in a few days + if they can give u the part# so u can order when ready.

Also, call a local Junk yard find out if they have a damaged Scion xB + if they will sell you that part cheap.
Good Luck.........

Jim and Sciko, first off thanks for the responses. I sent you both messages but on your profile pages just in case you didnt come back to this post. I really with I could find a used one to buy because I am so sick of dealing with the dealership. The only problem is there arent that many XB's here in Virginia Beach, at least that I know of. Anyways sooner or later I will find that part. Thanks again for the advice!

Wow, I heard of the south being laid back sometimes. Can't understand why when u call a Virginia Scion Dealer parts dept in your area + does not immediately talk to u + give u a part#. that's F up.

Here they talk to u in a Ny minute with results. Good Luck on your search.

according to the micro fishe on Scion Tech section:

58411a - 52040 = Deck Board 1 (storage side)

58412a - 52040 = Deck Board 2 (spare tire side)
