Default question about Ground Wiring Kit...

I will be making a kit myself from scratch...I just have a few questions about the wire Im gonna use. I ordered 4gauge KnuKonceptz from ebay...heard they were good wire...I emailed them about their temp tolerances and they said -40 to 104C....that comes out to about 220F the wires can handle, I assum before the plastic starts melting.

Will this be enough inside the engine compartmant on xB ...I will be using that DIY guide posted on here...5 ground install, one of them including coil head bolt...I hope 220F is enough

do I have to worry, with the wire Im gettin?

any feedback on temperatures reached in engine compartment area would be apprieciated =)
Thanks

I used the exact same wire, and have not had a problem with it. If you have a bench vise use that to crimp the connectors onto the wire.

Good luck.

05Toaster~xb, thats sweet. Do you have any better walk through pictures and are you using the same ground points as in the DIY article. I can tell you do things clean like I do.

Thanks 05Toaster~xb, where is number 4 going to? and where can I get the negative terminal from without buying the kit! I have the wire and terminals. Thanks for your help! Almost looked like an Electrician did it.

jallamas, I am an electrician ! Industrial Electrician, with a technical backround and i'm a virgo just had a b day.....Perfection is in my blood. Nnumber 4 is to the transmision bracket you will see it if you have the five speed, but it's only important if it's an automatic, but i did it anyway. click on the pic once and it should bring it in close enough to tell where i mounted it. If you loop it you should only have a few connectors bring it right to the stock battery negetive lug.
