Default question about the single disk pioneer system

i know that a bazooka tube is an option, but how is it hooked up? like, is it a standard sub out that i can use to hook up my own amp?

The Bazooka sub you get from Scion is a kit that includes instructions/templates/wiring harness and an AMPLFIED Bazooka. You can purchase an unamplified Bazooka through Circuit City, Pep Boys etc. and them hook up ypur own amp.

No, you can't hook up your own amp to the factory headunit
without a special harness, or by going speaker level to line
level converter.

i have no problem using a PAC on the head unit, I was just hoping Scion made it a little easier for me.

and i'd never consider getting a bazooka tube.

Raven's right. I forgot to add the part about purchasing an add on harness for the unamplified bazooka
