Default Question about wrapping door panels

So I used the tuck method and it turned out alright...

However my question is how the heck do you get the fabric to mold to the door panel fabric area?I've looked through tons of DIY's and no luck...

I dont want any wrinkles and there were a few last time.I'm going to be using some tweed.

Any help would be great.

?

did you use 3M spray adhesive?

its takes a bit of work to get it perfect if the fabrit isnt a type that streaches well.

i did mine with (real) micro suade, like i said it takes some work, but its more than posible.

can you post a pic of what you have now some i can give you more help

Need to use contact cement you can but it at walmart and use a cheap paint gun from harbor freight. Holds stronger then any 3m stuff.

The spray works really well. I used it for my pillars... and my rear hatch and had no wrinkles. I used micro suede.

well the problem isnt that its not sticking to the door panel.it sticks fine.my problem is wrinkles.i cant get the suede on and keep it straight without it having wrinkles...

any thoughts?is there a way to make the suede stretchy or flexible at all?

I've seen people use steam to help make fabric a little more elastic in places. The main key is patience.
