Default questions about running video from an ipod to head unit

questions for people who know what they are talking about.

can the w200 alpine unit be ran to an iPod video with the fast connect or whatever they call it and play video on the screen from the iPod?

in other words can i hook up an ipod to the w200 and watch the movie on the screen in the car?

also can i control the videos like i would the music and playlists? how does this all work? is it as simple as buying the 30$ cord and hitting a button on the screen of the alpine?

thx in advance!

Well, I don't have that head unit, but my video IPod plays video and audio through the $20 cable to everything I connect it to that has the Video/Audio inputs. VCR, TV, DVDR, even my porrtable projector.

Right now I do the audio through the car stereo and the video through a portable 9" screen.

Your best bet would be to head over to stereo shop that sells Alpine witht he ipod and have them check it out. I know you can control the music with the Alpine, but not sure on the video.

I was wondering about the same question for the last 3 months and I know jesen has one for sure but I have a pioneer and you have a alpine so that doesnt help us at all. I know apple has that cable were you can hook up the ipod to the tv. I also know that some units come with a hide away unit so there must be some way to connect the iPod AV Connection Kit to the hide away unit. So I would think that you can hook up the ipod with a hide a way unit using the iPod AV Connection Kit to display video. Thats what I think but I could be wrong.
