Default quick HU install question

I just ordered my Kenwood DDX6019 and I know I need the wire harness and the side fillers. Is there anything else I need for the install?

A couple of tools to take the factory radio out and some way of connecting the female toyota plug to the kenwood radio plug. That should be it, have fun and enjoy.

make sure the wire for the antenna amplifier is supplied, otherwise you'll have poor radio reception. can't find the post, but search some of Thomas post and you'll see what I mean.

No you dont need an antenna amplifier. What Sid is saying is to hook the blue wire on the new female toyota plug up to the blue or blue/white wire on the Kenwood harness(use blue/white if the Kenwwod harness does not have a blue wire). The blue wire is a power antenna wire, are cars dont have power antennas that rise up like in some cars, but we do have an amplified antenna that needs to be turned on to receive good FM or Am quality signals. ( Wait what is AM, isnt that like the morning or somthing, LoL) Just as a note the blue wire cuts power off to what ever is hooked to it, when you go to CD mode and the blue/white which is the remote turn on lead for an amp stays on as long as the radio is powered on. So if it has the plain blue wire off the keen wood hook it up to the blue on the Toyota harness. Hope this helps and makes sense to you, if not let me know.

Is it easy to hook up a toggle switch for playing video while driving? Was thinking of putting one in the switch panel under the cubby.
