does anyone have instructions on how to remove the factory radio from a 2005 xb. the dash kit i purchased did not come with, and i don't want to break anything. please send anything that may help...

 

Best bet: Do a Forum serach with "Dash Removal" and look for ICE's post.

 

Pull the three ac ***** off. There are two screws to remove behind the two outside *****. The radio and ac trim will just pull off now, only snaps hold it. Four screws hold the radio to the dash.

 

one of the easiest radio removals in the world. Just as described above but also there are three wiring harnesses that clip into the back of the radio/ dash trim piece. Be careful not to yank to hard when pulling out the radio/dash trim. Also with dash kits there will be a flimsy plastic bracket used to hold in the whole kit. You might be able to use the stock brackets from the radio. They are alot stronger.
